So, we had our holiday party. And it was epic.
Yes, it lasted for hours. And hours…till 2:30. And yes, the room was absolutely gorgeous, complete with trees and lights and wreaths and even a roaring fire. And yes, the food was out of this world, and plentiful. And yes, we had lovely gifts for all of our guests. And yes, we had multiple DJ’s. And yes, one of those DJ’s was QuestLove (we so adore The Roots, and him).
But what made the night really special, and I mean really special, was that you could feel the warmth (and not just from the fireplace).
You could feel the genuine generosity of spirit. You could feel the good nature and good cheer of everyone there.
You could feel the kindness all over the room, like a warm winter blanket.
Yes, the company trying to be the world’s kindest company had quite a holiday party. One for the ages.
But though the haze of the next morning, one thing was abundantly clear.
We had the kindest holiday party there ever was. And that, for those of you keeping score at home, made it the best holiday party. Ever.
